The position

Job description

About Soil Capital:

Soil Capital is on a mission to regenerate 1 million hectares of land by 2025, making a difference in the world through regenerative and low-carbon agriculture. As a leading expert in this field, we have developed the first carbon remuneration program for farmers in Europe (Soil Capital Carbon) and the mySoilCapital platform.

The mySoilCapital platform supports farmers in transitioning to more profitable and sustainable practices, by allowing them to efficiently and accurately measure the GHG balance of their farm which we then audit and certify to generate carbon certificates. This helps farmers understand the levers that can be activated on a path to regenerative agriculture and finance it through the sale of 3rd party audited carbon certificates.

The Opportunity:

As Full Stack Developer, your main mission at Soil Capital will be to think, build, deliver and tweak our Web App allowing farmers to manage their farms and be eligible for carbon certificates.

Our core technological stack is React in combination with TypeScript for the Front-end and PHP/Laravel for the Backend.

You’ll join a dynamic team of 9 developers, a Product Manager and a Product Designer who have a constructive and pragmatic approach to the development challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Think, Build, Ship and Tweak Farmer Portal platform.

  • Attend, participate and contribute to the Squad Scrum Ceremonial.

  • Code, QA and Maintain the Farmer Portal platform.

  • Interact closely with the Squad, the Product Manager and the Product Designer to deliver the best possible product in accordance with the Roadmap and Soil Capital’s standard of excellence.

Why join Soil Capital?

We foster a family-friendly environment where every member of our team feels supported and respected. We understand the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance, and we strive to accommodate the diverse needs of our employees, including those with families.

  • You’ll have the opportunity to work alongside dedicated and passionate colleagues (such as Agronomists, Research Specialists, Farmer recruiters, etc) who share the same enthusiasm for regenerative agriculture.

  • We place a high value on responsibility and accountability, which are fundamental to our approach and the way we work. We empower you to be the master of your own time and tasks, entrusting you with the autonomy to manage your responsibilities in a way that best suits your working style and maximises your effectiveness.

  • Joining our team means more than just a job – it means becoming part of something meaningful and impactful. We share the common satisfaction of knowing that our work matters and has a lasting impact on the world

Soil Capital is an equal opportunity employer. We encourage applications from all candidates who meet the job requirements, regardless of their race, colour, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, or disability.
