Each year, 140M children are born. Birth defects affect 1 in 33 births in developed countries, and in 50% of cases, they are not detected during prenatal examinations. Prenatal medicine is particularly complex, and the scans impose heavy responsibilities on healthcare professionals. They can also be a source of stress for future parents.

Resulting from 5 years of collaboration between world-renowned experts from Necker Hospital and Ecole Polytechnique, Sonio uses artificial intelligence to improve prenatal screening and diagnosis. Based on patented algorithms and a proprietary expert database, Sonio aims to become the reference tool to help practitioners improve screening, reduce diagnostic errors, and optimize pregnant women’s medical path.

About the role

We are seeking a skilled freelance QA Manager with leadership experience to help us maintain and enhance the quality of our products during this critical phase of growth.

This is a freelance opportunity for 2-3 months, during which you will lead and optimize our quality assurance processes to ensure compliance, performance, and reliability of our solutions.

Quality Assurance Leadership

• Define and implement QA strategies, frameworks, and best practices for manual and automated testing.

• Lead efforts to improve test coverage, quality, and performance metrics.

• Act as the primary advocate for quality across the engineering and product teams.

Test Planning and Execution

• Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for our applications.

• Ensure thorough functional, regression, performance, and security testing.

Automation Development

• Design, build, and maintain automated test scripts

• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployments.

Release Management

• Collaborate with development, product, and devops teams to plan, schedule, and coordinate software releases.

• Implement and enforce processes to ensure smooth and efficient release cycles.

• Conduct post-release testing and analysis to identify any quality gaps or areas for improvement.

• Significant experience as Head of QA in the software industry.

• Experience with testing tools, frameworks, and automation methodologies.

• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to get people on board and change management,

• Strong analytical skills

• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
