Job description

Swan is looking for a full-stack Data Analyst to join our Data team. The current team is led by Romain, our VP data, and consists of 8 members with expertise in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering and Data Analytics.

You will work closely with Risk department and become a key partner in both their day-to-day operations and strategic projects. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of data and risk management. You will play an instrumental role in ensuring our payment solutions remain secure, efficient and scalable.

✨  Your mission

  • Strategic Project Collaboration: Partner closely with Risk on strategic initiatives, contributing to all phases of projects - ideation, data exploration, solution development, and final implementation.

  • Operational Support and Optimization: Provide hands-on support to the department’s daily operations by automating routine processes, developing scalable solutions, and delivering ad hoc analyses.

  • Domain Ownership and Enablement: Act as the go-to data expert within the department, taking full ownership of all data-related inquiries and processes. Empower team members by developing resources and delivering training that facilitates self-service analytics and promotes effective data usage across the team.

  • Internal Data Strategy: Help shape our data strategy by actively contributing to internal guidelines and best practices, suggesting process enhancement and adoption of new tools.

Preferred experience

You’re a great match if:

  • You should have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Data Analyst, Analytics Engineer, or equivalent.

  • Strong proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience in data modelling.

  • Proven experience in project and stakeholder management, able to own projects from conception to execution with minimal supervision.

  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations.

  • Great communication skills, with the ability to present complex data to non-technical stakeholders in English.

  • Passion, curiosity, and the capacity to learn quickly are important, as we are constantly exploring new technologies and approaches to improve our work.

  • Ideally, you have already worked with DBT and a BI tool (Metabase, Looker, Tableau, etc).

  • Ideally, you have already worked in Risk (Compliance, FinCrime or Internal Control) domains.

  • Ideally, you have already worked in Fintech sector.

  • Our ideal teammate: Empathetic. Skilled. Frank. We love to challenge each other, and we leave our egos at the door.

It’s okay if you don’t tick all the boxes — don’t let imposter syndrome prevent you from applying! 🙌
