Swan is looking for a Account Executive to hunt, convince and sign dozens of new customers in the upcoming years. Based in Berlin, you’ll be in charge of developing Swan in Germany, expanding our customer base to large, eventually Enterprise companies.
We’re looking for someone with a strong business acumen, willing to make Swan grow over the long-term and excited by the challenges of selling. We’re also looking for a strategic thinker, able to understand our customers’ needs and to perform consultative sales.
We need a curious person, willing to learn and comfortable with the technical and compliance aspects of our product. We’re also looking for a team player who will partner with our product and compliance teams (among others) to ensure our roadmap entails the main asks of our top prospects, and to constantly improve our onboarding processes.
Here is a snapshot of some of the responsibilities you will have:
Be accountable for increasing revenue and new client acquisition
Develop outbound strategies to create and nurture opportunities
Develop a consultative and solution-based sales approach to answer our customers needs
Own the full sales cycle from lead to close
Work with company leaders from multiple functions (e.g., Engineering, Product, and Finance) to lead complex product workshops and financial analyses
Attend industry events to meet new prospects and spot new opportunities for Swan in Germany
Build Swan’s offer to tackle new verticals
Effectively work cross-functionally across the organization to shape Swan’s solutions to meet customer needs
✨ You’re a great match if:
2/3+ years of sales experience, preferably selling a technical product in a start-up / scale-up
Demonstrated capacity to sell to large accounts: you know how to approach complex organizations and conduct deals with long sales cycles
Previous experience in an international / European environment
Professional proficiency in English + fluent in German
Passion for startups and new technology businesses
Strong interpersonal skills, excellent team player and fun to work with
Ability to understand and articulate technical concepts, and translate them into industry- or business-relevant terms
A good understanding of the Fintech ecosystem is a plus
