About the Job

We are currently seeking a passionate and driven Sustainability Officer to join our Corporate Sustainability team at Technip Energies headquarters.

In the unique context of our company business transformation orientated on energy transition, with clear ambitions to commit to our sustainability journey, you will be working in the Corporate Sustainability department based in Nanterre, France, close to Paris and La Défense. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to create and execute sustainability programs that effectively engage stakeholders, including employees, customers, investors, and the community.

Key Responsibilities

As a Sustainability Officer, you will play a crucial role in developing, implementing and following up on sustainability programs and initiatives in line with our sustainability strategy.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Contribute to the implementation of our sustainability roadmap across the company, with a particular focus on Stakeholder Engagement, Volunteering, Affected Communities and Social Management
  • Carry out benchmarking and analysis of good practices from clients, peers, sustainability leaders and other stakeholders
  • Develop and implement new working processes, standards, programs, initiatives, or digital tools
  • Be involved in proposals and projects for our clients
  • Participate in the preparation, implementation and update of the internal communication roadmap for sustainability topics
  • Help in the collection and analysis of key performance indicators and other non-financial information
  • Contribute to the preparation of the annual report and sustainability report, in accordance with CSRD requirements and reporting best practices
  • Assist with the consolidation of responses to external requests from investors or clients
  • Contribute to cross-departmental sustainability projects and initiatives, such as new learning programs
  • Be involved in learning sessions such as fresks on climate, biodiversity or circular economy, and possibly be trained to become a facilitator
  • Prepare sustainability presentations and deliverables for both internal and external audiences
  • Be responsible for screening new trends and regulations and being a driving force for the department, bringing new and inspiring ideas

Required Qualifications and Soft Skills:

  • Passion for sustainability and a commitment to promoting sustainable practices within organizations
  • Master's degree from an Engineering School or Business School with options in sustainable development, or a Master in sustainable development, or equivalent
  • Ideally 2-3 years of experience, but this position can also be for a young graduate
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Curiosity, autonomy, ability to work remotely and in a multi-cultural environment
  • Organization skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work with top management, cross-functional and multi-cultural teams
  • Be well informed about sustainability issues and trends, and open to continuous learning
  • Ability to manage change and new challenges
  • Good knowledge of international standards and best practices related to all aspects of sustainability (including environmental, social and governance topics) including reporting and rating
  • Proficiency in data base management and reporting tools
  • Fluent in English
  • Proficiency in Excel, Powerpoint, Word, and digital and AI tools such as PowerBI, ChatGPT, Copilot, etc.
