We are currently seeking a Sustainability strategy Manager, to join our Corporate Sustainability team based in Nanterre/Paris.

About the mission we offer you:

 

We are currently looking for a sustainability communication & training manager to join our Corporate Sustainability team. 

In the unique context of our company business transformation orientated on energy transition, with clear ambitions to commit to our sustainability journey, The Sustainability manager will support the VP Sustainability in driving the company’s sustainability agenda. This role will focus on integrating sustainability into business operations, fostering innovation, developing and deploying decarbonization and sustainability services, enhancing communication, promoting learning and development, managing corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, engaging with stakeholders, and leading social initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sustainability, strategic thinking, and project management, with a passion for driving positive environmental and social impact.

Key Responsibilities 

1. **Strategy:** 

  • Assist the VP sustainability in developing and implementing the company’s sustainability strategy thru an efficient content production 
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify sustainability trends, risks, and opportunities. 
  • Support the communication of the sustainability strategy across the company.

 

2. ****Decarbonization and Sustainability Services:** 

  • Collaborate with Operating centers and ESG performance managers to deploy decarbonization strategies communication and support training to reduce the company’s carbon footprint. 
  • Collaborate with external partners and vendors to enhance the company’s sustainability capabilities. 
  • Support the communication and production content for the sustainability services training internally and externally.

 

3. **Innovation:** 

  • Foster a culture of innovation by identifying and promoting new technologies, practices, and partnerships that advance sustainability thru an efficient communication 
  • Stay informed about emerging sustainability trends and best practices to drive continuous improvement through benchmarks (that will be conducted by other team members) 

 

4. **Communication:** 

  • Collaborate with communication department to develop and execute communication strategies to promote sustainability initiatives internally and externally. 
  • Prepare and disseminate sustainability reports, case studies, and success stories. 
  • Collaborate with the communication agency, by providing insightful content 
  • Coordinate with the marketing and communications team to ensure consistent and impactful messaging. 

 

5. **Learning and Development:** 

  • Ensure a right design of training programs providing consistent and impactful content to educate employees on sustainability practices and policies. 
  • Collaborate with HR and external training agency to integrate sustainability into the company’s learning and development framework. 
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of sustainability training programs and make improvements as necessary. 
  • Define and animate the Train the trainer’s and facilitators community for sustainability.

 

6. **Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR):** 

  • Assist in the development and execution of the company’s CSR strategy. 
  • Manage CSR projects and initiatives, ensuring they align with the company’s sustainability goals. 
  • Track and report on the impact of CSR activities, providing insights and recommendations for improvement. 

 

7. **Stakeholder Management:** 

  • Identify and define engagement plan for key stakeholders, including employees, customers, suppliers,  and other community groups, while collaborating with different department in charge of managing these stakeholders 
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings and forums to gather input and feedback on sustainability initiatives. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, NGOs, and industry groups. 

 

8. **Social Initiatives:** 

  • Lead the development and implementation of social initiatives that address community needs and support the company’s sustainability objectives. 
  • Coordinate volunteer programs and employee engagement activities related to social responsibility. 
  • Measure and report on the outcomes of social initiatives, highlighting successes and areas for improvement. 

 

9. **Change management and leadership:** 

  • Develop and Lead change management program 
  • Manage a team to deliver the different initiatives 

 

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred. 
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in sustainability, and strong business acumen 
  • Strong strategic thinking and project management skills. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. 
  • Experience in developing and delivering training programs. 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data 
  • Management experience of at least 5 years and strong management skills
