The position

Job description

Your mission

We’re looking for the first person to build up the Finance department in direct collaboration with Antoine (CEO) and put in place the financial foundations and processes.

Your responsibilities

  • Investor relations: Acting as the company’s main point of contact for investors, shareholders, board members and bankers on financial matters;

  • Reporting: Responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, as well as the annual budget and quarterly forecasts;

  • Financing: Contribute to the search for new financing, both dilutive and non-dilutive (bank and BPI loans, CIR, innovation, international expansion, etc);

  • Accounting: In coordination with our external accountant, carry out the monthly P&L and balance sheet accounting, as well as the annual closing and audit of our financial statements;

  • Processes: Implementing secure and effective financial controls and processes to prevent the company from fraud and error;

  • Cash flow monitoring: Ensuring that the company has fully effective cash management, by monitoring cash receipts, and getting the message across within the company: cash is king!

  • Purchasing management: Working with other teams, being the point person when it comes to negotiating contracts with suppliers, and making sure we always get the best deals. In general, take all necessary measures to optimise our cost structure.

  • M&A: Structuring, negotiation and signing/closing process and assisting legal aspects of M&A transactions.


Preferred experience

About you

Even if we know that the perfect candidate doesn’t exist, here’s what he or she would look like:

  • You are a graduate of a Rank 1 engineering or business school. A double degree in accounting is a plus.

  • You have a good command of written and spoken French and English, as we are expanding internationally. German is a bonus.

  • You have more than 10 years’ experience in corporate finance, transactions, private equity, audit or accounting, as well as a similar position in a technology company. You have a proven track record in developing and managing a team.

  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills, and are able to explain something complex in simple words. You’re not afraid to present and defend your decisions to demanding stakeholders.

  • You are structured and data-driven, you enjoy solving complex problems by breaking them down into workable components and you know how to read and interpret financial data.

  • You have a long experience is a fast growing SaaS company.

  • You believe that the difference is in the detail and you have a talent for spotting errors when they occur.

  • You are passionate about financial matters, enjoy a challenge and have an entrepreneurial spirit.

  4. 1 hour interview with Antoine (CEO) and Thibault (CoS) to discuss the job, your experience and your expectations in detail.
