Veolia WTS is seeking an accomplished European Finance Controller to join our Finance team. This influential position plays a crucial role in managing financial operations across the region, ensuring compliance with international standards while driving operational excellence.
The successful candidate will oversee the book close process, statutory reporting, and maintain the highest standards of financial integrity across multiple jurisdictions.
What are the Day-to-Day Duties?
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual IFRS reporting aligned with corporate deadlines
• Oversee statutory accounts preparation and filing across EMEA jurisdictions
• Manage relationships with external service providers for statutory reporting and compliance
• Implement and maintain robust accounting procedures and policies
• Review and monitor transactional accounting activities
• Provide guidance to outsourced partners to enhance service delivery
• Lead preparation of upcoming statutory reporting obligations
• Drive project management initiatives ensuring timely execution

CFO - with dotted line to Global Controller

Preferred skills and experience
• BSc in Finance/Accounting or equivalent
• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA or equivalent)
• Extensive experience in financial accounting and reporting
• Strong understanding of IFRS and statutory conversion processes
• Proficiency in SAP and MS Office applications
• Proven experience in multinational environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Excellence in stakeholder management
• Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor teams
• Outstanding organisational and communication skills
