Department: Plant & Logistics Department is a supporting department which consist of installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of heavy & mining equipment, temporary electrical networks, technical lifting, logistics and rental of all equipment fleet.

Job Description: In charge of assisting the Plant & Logistics Manager and Plant Engineers in their daily tasks. The Junior Engineer will oversee some work and will be part of the team. In a first stage, Junior Engineer will be working together with Plant Manager and Plant Engineers to understand the site and their constrain. Then, after a few weeks, he will be assigned to a task that he will have to lead, involving several departments like electrical, mechanical, lifting.

He will be autonomous and report to Plant Manager or Plant Engineer.

Presence required for a minimum of a year.

Repartition of Site Vs Office: 50% Site, 50% Office

General: 

- Ensure a high standard of safety at any time.

-  Assist and coordinate with construction site for all temporary works such as but not limited to: 

o   All temporary electrical network, mechanical temporary works, plumbing, cooling, winterization, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, welding, plumbing, winterization, ventilation, lifting works.

Preparation before operation:

- Junior Engineer will work close to Plant & Logistics Manager and Plant Engineer and help them during their daily tasks, he will oversee part of them under their supervision.

-  Once the Junior Engineer is ready, real challenges will start, he will oversee some works, which will be coordinating and following site teams, ensuring the works is well coordinated with the production team, in line with safety, time and budget.

-  Prepare all documentation for safety operation on site, procedure, methods statement, risks assessment / job safety analysis, briefings, training if required.

Operations:

- Define and optimize Equipment and material to perform the assigned task.

- Prepare work, schedule tasks, and dispatch teams according to site planning and priorities.

- Define, set, and implement procedures to ensure good comprehension of works by the site teams. 

-  Follow-up PR with procurement to get the material on time (3 weeks min to consider)

-  Purchase / rent equipment and material for site teams.

Reporting / Documentation:

- Reports to the Plant & Logistics Manager, Plant Engineers

-  Ensure daily pre-start is performed on site and recorded in the server.

-  Get daily reports from site team, staff and workers presence and hours done and tasks performed each day.
