VINCI Construction Grands Projets USA (formally VINCI Construction LLC) is a subsidiary of VINCI Construction Grands Projets with its main office located in Alexandria, Virginia. The scope of the company is general contracting and construction work, along with any associated services related to large, selected Design and Build projects, either public or private for which it can bring clear and strong added value. We aim to develop engineering and construction services for large infrastructure projects in various parts in the United States and provide a highly skilled and competitive professional service in construction field.

 

Project Overview:

The Walsh-VINCI Transit Community Partners (WVTCP) Joint Venture consisting of VINCI Construction Grands Projets and Walsh Construction has been selected to construct the $2.9BN Design Build Red Line Extension (RLE) project – the largest civil construction contract ever awarded by the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA). The RLE Mainline Design-Build (MDB) Project will extend the CTA's Red Line by 5.6 miles, extending from the existing terminal at 95th/Dan Ryan south to 130th Street and Doty Avenue.

We are seeking a Subcontract Manager to administer and manage all subcontractors for the project. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage kickoff meeting, change orders, progress billing, addendums
  • Control and monitore milestones
  • Negotiate claims, prepare letters and manage project risk and insurance issues
  • Control and monitoring of the contractual obligations for all Subcontracts of the Project
  • Lead the subcontracts stream and the subcontracts process
  • Verify that the information received from subcontractors and service providers meets the requirements established in the technical and procurement specifications, and that the quality of the product or service is in compliance with those specifications and requirements including any necessary product certificates or tests
  • Negotiate pricing with potential subcontractors or service providers
  • Responsible for the completion of the procurement process and close out of the agreement

Preferred experience

Qualifications:

  • 10 years experience in Subcontract Management
  • Knowledge of the North America construction market 
  • Previous experience in similar size project managing big subcontractors
