Job description

Position – Technical Engineering Lead

 

Location – Aztec West, Bristol.

 

Travel – Required in the office 3 days per week and 2 from home.

 

Hybrid working – 3 days in the office and 2 remote.

 

Arrangement – Staff only

 

Salary – £48,000+ DOE

BPSS clearance will be required at basic level. Prior clearance will not be transferrable.

 

The service of a Technical Engineering Lead consists of monitoring our main equipment supplier Handovers on the
scope of nuclear instrumentation and radioprotection equipment KRC (personnel
radioactivity monitoring and protection) 

 


Preferred experience

Responsibilities of a Technical Engineering Lead –

 

  •  Technical clarification and resolution of supplier and client technical queries 
  • Technical management of the supplier and support to the client in their contractual relationship during design, procurement and delivery phase regarding the schedule, costs, specifications and requisitions. 
  • Follow up of all equipment manufacturing and delivery to site 
  • Lead reviews of supplier technical documents and annual surveillance report
  • Management of risks, opportunities, open Points, UK Design Changes and Exemptions requests generated by our supplier.
  • Management of contract transfer sheets that informs the clients about contract modification via dedicated tools 
  • Management of interfaces with EDVANCE disciplines involved in the radioprotection equipment contracts 

 

Required technical skills for a Technical Engineering lead –

 

  • Knowledge of the RCC-E electrical technical regulations and the technical reference system (NFC15-100 / NF C 13-200 / BS7671 / IEC 60909)
  • Knowledge of the nuclear field via school curriculum or professional experience
  • Knowledge of the processes involved in industrial projects in the energy field
  • Technical documents reviews 
  • Experience in radioprotection field, instrumentation equipment design, procurement, testing or installation
