Job Description: Program Manager

Position Overview: Our NYC team is seeking a skilled and dedicated Program Manager to lead and oversee the development and execution of software projects within our organization. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with project teams, stakeholders, and cross-functional groups to ensure the timely and successful completion of software projects in alignment with the organization's objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning and Coordination: Develop comprehensive project plans, define project scope, and establish priority tasks. Work closely with project teams to coordinate tasks, allocate resources, and set realistic timelines to ensure the successful execution of projects.

2. Progress Monitoring: Monitor the advancement of software projects, identify potential issues or risks, and proactively take measures to address them. Regularly communicate project updates to both stakeholders and senior management.

3. Resource Management: Allocate both human and technical resources to projects based on project requirements and available capacity. Ensure that project teams possess the necessary skills and tools to accomplish their tasks effectively.

4. Collaboration and Communication: Foster a culture of collaboration among project teams, stakeholders, and cross-functional groups. Establish effective communication channels to ensure a clear understanding of project objectives, requirements, and dependencies.

5. Risk Management: Identify and assess project risks, develop strategies to mitigate risks, and implement measures to minimize their impact. Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize risks and manage them throughout the project lifecycle.

6. Quality Assurance: Oversee quality assurance activities to ensure software projects meet the highest quality standards. Establish and enforce quality control processes and monitor adherence to quality standards throughout the project.

7. Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and business partners. Actively engage with stakeholders to comprehend their needs, address concerns, and manage expectations.

8. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and best practices. Analyze project data and metrics to pinpoint areas for optimization and implement changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).

- Proven experience as a Program Manager or similar role in software project management.

- Strong leadership skills and a track record of successfully managing cross-functional teams.

- In-depth understanding of software development methodologies, technologies, and best practices.

- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

- Experience with risk assessment and mitigation strategies.

- Proficiency in project management tools and software.

- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
