About the team
Our Transformation, Risk, and Compliance department at Wakam is dedicated to driving innovation, managing risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. As stewards of change, we lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and adaptability.
Squad description
Our team is committed to identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks to safeguard Wakam's reputation and financial stability. Additionally, we maintain a culture of compliance, ensuring adherence to industry regulations and standards.
Implementing and monitoring controls to safeguard Wakam's assets and ensure compliance. The Internal Control team establishes and assesses controls to mitigate risks and enhance operational effectiveness within the organisation.
Mission
Reporting to the Chief of Risk & Internal Control, you will participate in all internal control work.
Key responsibilities
- Review and enrich the control plan, in connection with the work of describing the company’s processes, with the business functions for 1st level controls and the Office Compliance and for the Office Risk as regards 2nd level controls.
- Animate the network of Risk correspondents in each Office.
- Contribute to the harmonisation of practices within the Group by developing and spreading a common culture.
- Maintain process mapping.
- Perform internal control tests.
- Prepare reports for the Operational Risk Committee and the Audit and Risk Committee.
- Monitor incidents and enrich controls based on findings.
- Update the internal control policy annually.
- Ensure consistency between internal control and operational risk management, including the implementation of mitigation plans.
- Contribute to the drafting of the ORSA report and financial reports if necessary.
Profile Requirements
- With a Master’s degree in risk management and internal control, you have a significant experience in a similar role within insurance companies, consulting firms or supervisory authorities in non-life insurance.
- Very good knowledge of Solvency 2.
- You must be proficient in English in a professional context.
- You master the Office package and the E-Front tool and demonstrate agility in dealing with various tasks.
