Job description

Your role as a Product Manager at Wooclap will focus on increasing user engagement and retention across our platform. You’ll be at the core of Wooclap’s Product-Led Growth strategy, optimizing the first-time user experience, boosting activation, and fostering habit-building behaviors. Your efforts will span all user segments—freemium, self-serve, and Enterprise—to ensure long-term growth for our user base.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of features, experiments, and optimizations that drive user engagement and retention. Focus areas include improving onboarding, feature discoverability, user experience (UX), creating viral loops, and scaling quality support and training to users.

  • Work closely with the Data team to analyze user behaviors, define key retention metrics, and derive actionable insights from engagement data.

  • Work closely with Growth Marketing Lead and Monetization Product Manager to offer the best self-service experience, from discovery to activation and monetization. This includes for instance optimizing the freemium model by guiding users through their first live session and fostering repeat engagement through habit loops, and balancing user activation with their monetization.

  • Partner with Customer Success team and Product Marketing Manager to leverage all channels (in app, emails, webinars, trainings etc) to ensure all new and existing users have the resource at the right moment of their user journey, to get the maximum value from the product.

  • Collaborate with Product Designers to enhance the platform’s UX, ensuring a frictionless and intuitive user journey from initial sign-up to advanced feature adoption.

  • Conduct regular user research, including interviews and surveys, to gather qualitative insights about how different personas engage with the platform and how we can improve their experience.

  • Contribute to the general product roadmap, ensuring that retention-related initiatives are well-integrated into the overall product development plan.

Requirements

  • You already have experience as a Product Manager, particularly in a role focused on user activation, retention, or engagement within SaaS and Product-Led Growth environments.

  • Strong analytical skills with a proven track record in defining, tracking, and optimizing key retention and activation metrics, including churn rates, cohort analyses, and user engagement KPIs. You’re also familiar with the tools and methods of A/B testing.

  • Proficient in both English and French (we are an English-first company).

  • Hands-on experience in leading user-facing product development initiatives, particularly those involving onboarding, UX, and lifecycle improvements.

  • You have a solid understanding of SaaS models, freemium conversion, and product-led growth strategies.
