The position

Job description

As our People Operations Specialist for Belgium and the Netherlands, you ensure the smooth execution of administrative People Operations processes. You focus on accuracy, compliance, and efficiency, supporting our employees and enhancing the overall People Experience.

Your team:

You are part of our People & Culture team and collaborate closely with a dedicated People Partner for our your Northern Europe region. You will work in sync with another People and People Partner duo supporting our Southern Europe region. Together, we aim to deliver a seamless People Experience to our teams.

What you will do:

  • Manage administrative People Operations processes for the Netherlands (65 employees), Belgium (25), and employees hired in Germany via our EOR, Deel (3).

  • Oversee payroll for Belgium and the Netherlands, collaborating with external providers to ensure error-free processing.

  • Draft and manage employee contracts, addendums, and documentation for onboarding, off-boarding, and employment changes.

  • Maintain and update HR systems (e.g., Lattice HRIS), focusing on data integrity and compliance.

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries related to People policies, benefits, and payroll, providing prompt and clear responses.

  • Ensure compliance with local employment laws and regulations, implementing best practices in People Operations.

  • Collaborate with the People Business Partner to support workforce planning, employee relations, and process improvements.

  • Prepare reports and analytics to track key People metrics and support data-driven decision-making.

  • Support the implementation of new People initiatives and process enhancements to continuously improve the employee experience.

Requirements:

  • 1/2 years of experience in People Operations or HR, in the Netherlands, preferably in a tech or scale-up environment

  • Knowledge of Dutch payroll and labour laws. Experience with Belgian payroll and labour laws appreciated.

  • Proficiency in HR systems (e.g., HRIS) with a focus on data integrity and compliance.

  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, with attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

  • Excellent communication skills in Dutch (conversational - fluent) and English (C1 level minimum) both written and spoken.

  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with a People Partner.
