Title: Senior Business Analyst

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As a Business Analyst, you will be part of the project team in the Professional Services department. You will work closely with our clients, Project Leads, and Engagement Leads, alongside other Business Analysts, Solution Engineers, Technical and Business Architects, Product Owners, and the SaaS Engineering team. Your main goal will be to implement our Duck Creek Reinsurance (DCR) software within the clients’ existing systems, using as much of the standard DCR configuration as possible.

You will play a key role in ensuring the successful implementation of DCR. This includes both new implementations and ongoing support for existing clients.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Gathering client requirements during projects and for changes in existing systems.

• Working with the Business Architect and other stakeholders to understand DCR’s capabilities and client needs.

• Contributing to the project backlog by creating, updating, and following up on tasks.

• Configuring the DCR software to meet client business requirements.

• Providing training sessions and presentations on DCR for clients.

• Offering functional support to clients using DCR.

• Documenting and communicating requirements and issues to the technical teams, ensuring they fully understand the needs.

• Participating in quality assurance for the developments from technical teams.

• Translating requirements into test conditions and expected results for product and user acceptance testing.

• Performing other related duties as required by projects.

WHAT YOU’VE DONE:

Education and Work Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in a field with an analytical focus.

• At least 8 years of professional experience, ideally in a similar role.

• Experience working directly with clients, including giving presentations.

Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong teamwork and collaborative spirit.

• Ability to handle complex situations with resilience.

• Experience in gathering requirements, identifying gaps, software implementation, and test planning and execution.

• Understanding of the software development lifecycle.

• Knowledge or experience in the insurance and/or reinsurance sectors (e.g., accounting or actuarial background).
