As a Business Development Associate, you get the opportunity to grow with our company, combining the best of the scale-up and the tech world. You will be part of the part of the team of Catalunya (6 people) whose mission is to find innovative ways to grow and strength the current client relationships (mostly multinational companies with big IT or Digital teams based in Barcelona). To be the best version of yourself as BDA for Business Unit Catalunya, you will be part of an international and dynamic team with BDA around Europe to share best practices and work on new strategies.  

Key responsibilities ✨

  • As a BDA (Business Development Associate) intern, you'll have the important task of helping the team on driving the growth of our business by identifying and prospecting new potential leads, and new areas for existing customers. The main tasks will be giving support in the following areas:
  • Account mapping: Identify  prospects, stakeholders and represent the relationship in a visual way. Based on this exercise, you will work together with the Account Managers defining the key personas targeted and the strategy for the next months.
  • Research and identify potential leads: You'll use different tools to conduct in-depth research to understand the specific challenges, needs, and goals of specific individuals and teams within target enterprise accounts.
  • Stay informed and leverage market insights/trends and understanding of the customer/industry landscape to develop and communicate an effective strategy for outreach and to identify/qualify potential opportunities.
  • You will ensure initial contact and meetings with decision-makers and our sales team in various industries. You will ensure that the sales team is well-prepared for the meeting and that potential clients receive the information they need.
  • Utilize all available channels (email, phone, social media, etc.) to contact potential clients to verify your findings and strategies. By experimenting with new content, channels and tools, you gradually improve our customer approach.
  • You develop and communicate best practices within the team and thus ensure a lively exchange of knowledge.
  • You work closely with colleagues from Spain and our international teams and are an ambassador of our great team spirit.
  • About you 🧑‍🚀

  • Successfully completed studies or currently coursing the field of business administration or a comparable course of study 
  • Ideally first experience in a B2B environment with a high affinity for the tech industry 
  • SaaS product company experience is a nice to have
  • Strong hunting mentality, team spirit and willingness to deliver
  • You have good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Parallel work on different projects is no problem for you
  • You are creative, a real team player and enjoy working in an international environment
  • Organization and time management skills. 
  • Curiosity, intellectual flexibility and willingness to achieve objectives
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Fluent in English and Catalan.

    - First call with a team Key Account Manager to better understand your background, and aspirations and answer any questions you may have. (30 minutes)

    - Interview with your future Sales manager to discuss your experience and how it would align with this role (45-60 minutes). 

    - Case Study to assess your technical skills. (60-90 minutes)

    - Final call with a C-level executive to discuss Malt’s long-term vision. (15 minutes)
