We help consumers shop smarter. Our ambition is to revolutionize the way people shop, empowering them to find what they need, make informed purchasing decisions, and save money.
Joko is a tech company founded in Paris. Our team of over 50 talents is international and spread across offices in Paris, Barcelona and New York, or working remotely.
As a certified B Corporation, we are committed to making a difference in the lives of the communities we serve, including the 4 million consumers already using Joko to save money every day at over 7,000 merchants.
Over the years, we have quickly expanded our value proposition to enable consumers to make smarter shopping decisions through many features: cash back, buy now and pay later, automatic coupons, price drop alerts, carbon footprint tracking, and more. Today, we are dedicating significant resources to developing an AI-powered assistant that helps users find the right product based on their criteria for price, quality, or environmental impact from the global e-commerce catalog.
After reaching profitability in our core market, we are now expanding internationally with a primary focus on the US.
It’s still day 1; come build the future of shopping with us!
This position is remote-friendly.
At Joko, the Business Operations team is the engine behind internal innovation. Sitting at the crossroads of Product, Operations, and Engineering, we take on the company’s most complex challenges and turn them into scalable solutions.
We think strategically, build technically, and execute fast. Whether it's launching new business lines or scaling processes with AI, we lead high-impact, cross-functional projects that make Joko faster, smarter, and more efficient.
From identifying opportunities to writing the code, we own projects end-to-end. Our mission: help the company operate at its best, every single day.
As a Business Operations Engineer, you’ll be both a driver and a builder. You’ll take full ownership of high-impact initiatives—from business diagnosis to shipping custom-built solutions.
You’ll design and implement tools and systems yourself, working across the stack when needed, with a focus on speed, quality, and long-term impact.
You’ll lead company-critical initiatives such as:
Launching new countries, business lines, or features
Driving the adoption of AI to scale operations
Streamlining key operational and financial processes
Leading integrations or migrations of third-party tools
You’ll own the full project lifecycle—from scoping and stakeholder alignment to delivery and iteration. Success will require sharp thinking, creativity, and structured execution to make things happen.
Working cross-functionally with teams like Product, Sales, Care, Marketing, and Finance, you will:
Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies through data analysis and stakeholder feedback
Design smarter workflows and more robust systems to improve how teams operate
Build scalable internal tools and automations using the right stack—whether that’s no-code, SaaS configurations, or full custom development
Write code and ship features yourself, with full ownership from backend logic to front-end UX when needed
Your mission: build what the company needs to move faster and smarter, today and tomorrow.
Education: you graduated from a top engineering school or have led outstanding entrepreneurial projects.
Problem solver: You have strong analytical skills, you are creative, and you love solving complex problems.
Quick-thinker: You are comfortable navigating and making quick decisions in uncertain contexts.

You are always curious to understand how things work and you are able to quickly learn new programming languages, new frameworks, or new practices. Bonus (but not required) if you have data analysis or software engineering technical skills.
Autonomy: You are fully autonomous and able to manage complex projects from A to Z.
Communication: You have strong written and verbal communication skills, and you are able to explain something complex with simple words.
Mindset: You have an entrepreneurial mindset, you like challenges, you like getting hands-on and you want to know more about how a tech start-up company works.
Efficiency: You are fond of productivity tips and able to deliver on time on projects with many stakeholders.
Attention to details: You know that the devil is in the details, and you have a talent for spotting flaws where there are.
Languages: You are fluent in English both written and spoken, as we are expanding internationally. Mastering French is not required.
We believe that flexibility and trust are important parts of a company. Our work environment reflects this thanks to:
Flexible remote: If you live in Paris, you can work from our office or from your place with no constraints. If you live elsewhere, you can get access to a coworking space.
Work from anywhere: Do you want to travel to Italy for a month and work from there? For up to 3 months a year, you may work from most countries in the world.
