More than 450 production database servers compete daily in data delivery speed to our products. We handle tens of millions of reads per second on our MySQL cluster. You will take a key role in redesigning database systems to meet the business requirements of the company and the demands of our operations. We want to base their performance on something other than additional hardware purchases, but also on an efficient and scalable solution that will run on the servers.

What can you expect?

• Analysis of the current state of MySQL systems and processes. Identify and suggest areas for improvement.

• Redesign of existing databases. You will ensure the determination of an effective database architecture.

• Data Architecture. You will focus on data models, indexes and data structure.

• Support the implementation of the database solution.

• Collaboration with the department head Jirka Majer and the development team.

What must you have?

• Expert knowledge of SQL databases (ideally MySQL).

• Experience with database architecture and schema design.

• Ability to design database systems with scaling in mind.

• Prior experience with query optimization.

What will the cooperation look like?

• From 20 to 40 hours/week.
