We are seeking an experienced Senior Sales Manager to accelerate Metroscope’s growth in the power generation market, with a strong focus on business development (80%) and account management (20%). This role is instrumental in driving revenue, identifying new business opportunities, and building strong customer relationships.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the energy sector or heavy industries a proven track record in complex B2B sales, and the ability to navigate long and consultative sales cycles. They will play a strategic role in expanding Metroscope’s  footprint, working closely with customer success, operations, marketing, and product  teams to ensure seamless client engagement.

📍 Location: Paris or Remote in France (100% remote possible with required attendance at corporate events in our Paris office)

Missions

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development & Market Expansion: Develop and execute strategies to identify, engage, and convert new clients in your dedicated region.

  • Build and grow a strong sales pipeline, driving the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract closure.

  • Expand Metroscope’s market presence by proactively reaching out to new stakeholders in the power generation industry.

  • Sales Execution & Account Management: Own and drive revenue growth within assigned accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.

  • Leverage a consultative sales approach to position Metroscope’s solutions effectively and align with customer needs.

  • Lead complex sales negotiations with senior executives and decision-makers.

  • Industry & Competitive Intelligence: Stay informed on market trends, regulatory changes and competitor activities to refine sales strategies.

  • Gather customer insights and provide feedback to internal teams to influence product and marketing strategies.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Product Development, Operations, and Customer Success to align sales efforts with company objectives.

  • Ensure seamless communication across teams to support customers effectively.

  • Sales Reporting & Forecasting: Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline updates in CRM tools (HubSpot preferred).

  • Regularly report sales performance, market insights, and strategic recommendations to leadership.

Requisitos

Expected profile - Requirements

Experience:

  • 5-10 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in the energy sector, heavy industry, or industrial software (Saas is a plus).

  • Proven ability to manage long and complex sales cycles.

  • Business Development Track Record: Strong hunter mentality with a history of consistently exceeding new business targets. Experience in consultative & strategic sales methodologies (e.g., SPIN, Challenger, Value-Based Selling).

  • Ability to engage C-level executives and key decision-makers.

Skills & Mindset:

  • Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to sales (KPIs, forecasting, ARR).

  • “Get things done” Attitude.

  • Comfortable working in fast-paced and evolving environments.

Languages & Education:

  • Fluent English (mandatory); Spanish or Italian is a strong plus.

  • Bac+5 (Master’s Degree) in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.

Travel:

  • Willingness to travel occasionally for customer meetings and industry events.

Hiring process

  • Stage 1 - Initial Screening and Assessment

  • 📞 Call to confirm adequacy with the job, evaluate motivation and answer your questions.

  • Stage 2: In-Depth Interviews and Presentations

  • Conduct one or two rounds of technical interviews with the hiring manager and senior stakeholders. It includes a sales- focused case study or presentation to assess the candidate’s strategic thinking, industry knowledge, and ability to pitch effectively.

  • Stage 3: Final Evaluation

  • Interview with the CEO - Aurélien

All interviews don’t have to take place at the office (Paris Saint Lazare), but we expect you to come there at least once during the process.
