As a 2D Artist / Concept Artist, under the guidance of our Art Director, you will play a key role in the visual conception and execution of game pieces, blockers, and VFX elements for our match-3 gameplay. You will be responsible for both conceptual and final asset creation, ensuring visual consistency, originality, and alignment with the game’s artistic and technical direction.
Your responsibilities will include:
Researching trends, conducting moodboard research, and analyzing art direction in the casual/match-3 space
Designing engaging and playful match-3 pieces, blockers, and supporting elements
Creating final 2D assets for production, with a keen eye for visual harmony
Ensuring assets are optimized for integration in Unity (with the support of our technical artists/devs)
Maintaining visual consistency across the art pipeline and collaborating closely with 3D, tech, and design teams
Proactively identifying blockers and offering solutions for creative and production challenges
Participating in regular feedback sessions and helping improve team workflows and creative quality

2+ years of experience in mobile game development with at least one match-3 title shipped
Strong portfolio showcasing your concept art and 2D production work, ideally including match-3 content
Ability to craft clean, readable, and stylized designs that communicate well in gameplay
Good knowledge of Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), and basic understanding of Blender and Unity
Familiarity with 3D/2D pipelines and the ability to collaborate with multiple departments (tech, game design, 3D)
Strong communication skills, collaborative mindset, and attention to detail
Ability to balance creativity with constraints of production and user readability
Bonus points:
Passion for disco, music, or rhythm-based games
Experience with UI elements and animations for mobile
Basic VFX knowledge or animation skills
A love for colorful, stylized art and playful universes!
