Reporting to our Industrial Manager, you will be joining a growing team composed of 4 people in charge of purchasing, logistics and industrialization. In relationship with the company’s 4 Business Lines and their project managers, you will oversee the industrialization of our products. You will be involved in all aspects of the assessment/approval of pre/post freeze design activities and manufacturing processes, to ensure the efficient manufacture of conforming products. The company being fabless, your role will involve a high level of synchronization with our suppliers.
Your missions will be the following:
Ensure deliveries from suppliers are on time and meet project and customer requirements:
Establish clear delivery schedules with suppliers, aligned with project milestones and customer deadlines,
Implement a real-time tracking system to monitor shipments and identify potential delays early,
Conduct regular supplier performance evaluations using KPIs such as on-time delivery rate (OTD) and quality compliance rate,
Develop a risk mitigation plan for supply chain disruptions (alternative suppliers, buffer stock, expedited shipping),
Ensure recurring and non-recurring cost targets set by the Industrial Manager for each part are met:
Collaborate with manufacturing suppliers to optimize material costs, labor efficiency, and production processes,
Negotiate long-term agreements and bulk purchase discounts to control recurring costs,
Identify and eliminate non-value-added activities in the supply chain,
Use cost breakdown analysis (CBA) to ensure pricing transparency and cost reduction opportunities,
Support Design Teams by Organizing Design Reviews with Suppliers:
Schedule regular design-for-manufacturability (DFM) reviews with suppliers to avoid production bottlenecks,
Ensure test benches and quality control procedures are integrated early in the design phase,
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to improve design efficiency,
Capture and document supplier feedback to enhance future product development cycles,
Travel to suppliers to anticipate production readiness review (PRR) and guarantee production targets:
Conduct on-site supplier assessments to verify production capabilities, equipment readiness, and process stability,
Identify potential bottlenecks in manufacturing before they impact project timelines,
Work closely with suppliers to implement corrective actions if any risks to production readiness are identified,
Ensure compliance with quality standards (ISO, AS9100, etc.) before full-scale production begins,
Participate in the first article inspection (FAI) review to validate product industrialization:
Ensure that FAI documentation is complete and meets required standards,
Work with suppliers to resolve any deviations before full production launch,
Implement root cause analysis and corrective actions (RCCA) if issues are detected during FAI,
Verify that manufacturing processes, tooling, and quality controls are fully validated,
Suggest process and workflow improvements to improve overall product cost:
Identify inefficiencies in supplier workflows and production techniques to reduce waste and optimize cycle times,
Promote lean manufacturing principles to streamline processes and improve cost efficiency,
Explore automation and digital tools for better supplier coordination and quality tracking,
Establish a continuous improvement framework (Kaizen, Six Sigma) to drive long-term cost reductions.
Graduated from an engineering school (BAC+5, university equivalent), you are specialized in manufacturing engineering, either mechanical, electronics or, ideally, both. You have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role. You have already successfully participated in the industrialization of several mechatronics products.
