Main Purpose of the Job
As a Key Account Manager, you will manage and develop relationships with key accounts on a local scale. Your role will focus on driving business growth and ensuring customer satisfaction across multiple channels. You will also have the potential to lead a team of sales representatives in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients by understanding their needs and ensuring their satisfaction.
- Strategic Planning: Develop strategic account plans to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base. Identify opportunities for growth within existing accounts.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various internal teams (sales, marketing, product development, and customer service) to ensure a seamless experience for clients.
- Sales Forecasting: Prepare sales forecasts and reports, analyzing trends and adjusting strategies as necessary to meet objectives.
- Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to maximize profits while ensuring client satisfaction.
- Problem Resolution: Address and resolve client issues promptly and effectively, ensuring a high level of service and support.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for account performance and prepare regular reports for senior management.
- Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify potential challenges and opportunities.
- People Management: Experience with leading people is an advantage for future growth within our organization.
Key Experiences and Knowledge
- University degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Key Account Manager or similar role in sales or customer service.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, excellent negotiation skills, proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite, ability to analyze data and market trends.
- Relationship-building skills, strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities, strong organizational and time management skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
