Our headquarters in Bordeaux combine commodities trading functions (inc. trading on future or physical markets, middle office, execution, freight, research) as well as support and business functions such as Sustainability, a key pillar of our business model.
Subsidiary offices, located in both producing and consuming countries, offer a wide diversity of functions standing from responsible sourcing, processing and export of commodities to the industrial transformation and sales to major agrifood players worldwide.

Our global work force
We have 3 trading departments that buy, sell and deliver with the highest level of service in each of our product families: Cocoa, Coffee, Vanilla and Natural Ingredients.
Within each department: Traders buy and sell, the Middle Office monitors contracts, and the Logistics Department, also known as the "Back Office", works with Freight to ensure that products are delivered correctly.
The particularity of coffee and cocoa lies in the quotation of these commodities on the future markets, which call for an additional exciting job: the statistical analysis of the data influencing the quotation (weather, harvest, geopolitics, consumption...)
As an integral part of the trading departments, execution deserves special emphasis.
Once we have agreed upon a contract and received delivery instructions from our customers, the execution teams are responsible for fulfilling the contract obligations and 'moving' the products to the four corners of the world.
In direct contact with customers and suppliers, this team must anticipate and manage all possible incidents to ensure customer satisfaction. The excellence of the fulfillment of our contract obligations is what upholds Touton's reputation: delivering against the odds.
At the heart of our global commitment, our dedicated sustainability teams in Bordeaux and local offices, serve as the nexus between all stakeholders and the reality of the field.
Those teams successfully co-build, manage and implement sustainability projects across all cocoa, coffee, ingredients, and vanilla supply chains. They use Data Science tools to inform decision making, to assess impact and to ensure full compliance with regulations and consumer demands.
They lead the way for the sustainable transformation of our value chains focusing on climate smart and regenerative agriculture, preserving forests and biodiversity, whilst empowering producing communities.
We run a trading business that generates a large annual volume of products (around 400,000 tonnes).
This means our finance team is responsible for securing and managing stable and long-term financing solutions. As a result, more than 20% of the workforce at our Bordeaux head office is made up of our finance team.
Accounting, consolidation, management control and treasury - the full range of financial professions is represented, offering exciting career paths in a resolutely international context.
More than just a support function, Touton's Finance team is seen as a genuine business partner.
Touton's business is very specific and can be described as 'niche'.
This means that we have to invent and develop our own tools, which, far from being a constraint, is a real opportunity to discover new applications for development technologies.
Our IT team is working on tools for monitoring trading operations (Commodity Trading Risk Management) and freight operations, for integrating sustainability data into machine learning and data science models, and a trading robot designed to anticipate market movements.
