Your role

In the Data & AI team, your role will be to

Support on data science workstreams for a major client and assist with internal R&D projects where necessary.

During your internship, your focus will be to

-               Assist data scientists working on causal inference analyses (e.g. A/B tests, quasi-experiments)

-               Perform initial data audits on acquired data to assess quality and usability

-               Perform deeper exploratory and time-series data analysis to understand acquired data

-               Prepare acquired data so that it can be used in a solution to a business use case

You’ll learn

-               Various statistical approaches to causal inference analysis

-               Important concepts in time-series analysis such as outlier detection and decomposition

-               How to explore, aggregate, and visualise time-series data

-               How to treat and prepare time series data for subsequent forecasting and/or modelling

-               BAC +4/5 (Currently pursuing a degree in a quantitative field such as Econometrics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related scientific field)   

-               Attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills  

-               Proficiency in R or Python  

-               Familiar with popular data science packages (e.g., scikit-learn, statsmodels, pandas, dplyr, plotly, forecast, tidyverse)  

-               Excellent writing, communication, and relational skills, fluent English  

-               An interest in causal inference

-               An interest in time series analysis and forecasting
