About the job

Since Alma's creation in 2018, our growth has been exceptional with hundreds of new merchants adopting our solutions every month. We currently collaborate with 18000+ merchants across 10 European countries, and the acquisition of new accounts is a pivotal focus for us. As a Business Development Representative, you will play a crucial role in expanding our Enterprise customer base and contribute directly to Alma's sales success.

As a Business Development Representative (BDR), your impact at Alma will be immediate and tangible: you will directly contribute to increasing payment volumes processed by Alma while growing our Enteprise merchant portfolio. You will have the satisfaction of helping the team closing deals within weeks and in manifesting Alma as a European player.

About the mission

Reporting to the Head of Sales, your main responsibilities are:

  • Develop Alma's strategic Enterprise sales activity using the tools available such as cold outreach (phone/email/social networks, Sales navigator...) and closely work with the Growth team to actively prospect on a defined block of verticals with players having a turnover starting from 250M€
  • Generate lists of prospects in collaboration with the Growth and Marketing teams
  • Implement a prospecting strategy and actively follow-up targets in order to qualify their needs and identify potential projects
  • Obtaining high quality qualified appointments for your Enterprise Account Executives
  • Track and monitor your activity and find the best methods to improve the prospecting process.

You will also benefit from an ongoing coaching/training program that will enable you to develop strong commercial, e-commerce and payment skills.

About you 

You will be a good fit for the role if:

  • Enterprise Sales Experience: you have prior experience in a BDR, SDR, or similar role with a focus on enterprise sales. Experience in selling B2B SaaS and if you have knowledge of the the FinTech, e-commerce or payments it is a plus.
  • Language: native or bilingual in French is a prerequisite. Full professional proficiency in English is also mandatory
  • Strong communication skills: you are very at ease when interacting with prospects, clients or any stakeholders of the industry, and you always ensure the appropriate level of reporting internally
  • Structured: you are a quick learner who rapidly gets up to speed in understanding the challenges faced by merchants
  • Rigorous and organized: you advance in a methodical manner and follow your prospects to the end
  • Ambitious and driven by challenge: you have a strong desire to exceed your goals
  • You want to make an impact and drive excellence in a fast growing company

  • A written case study to complete at home, following by an on-site/remote case study presentation (60 mins)
  • On-site Final interview with VP Sales (30 mins) & Team Fit interview (30 mins)
