You are joining the tech team, as the backend engineer in one of Apiday’s two squads. Your squad is about empowering users to achieve ESG reporting as fast as possible, while maintaining great quality. It is made of an engineering manager, a product manager, a product designer, a frontend developer, an additional data skill set provided by an AI engineer and a data engineer, and you.
We are an ambitious impact start-up with a mission of making sustainability data more standardized and available. Our squad goal is core to Apiday’s mission. There are a lot of challenges to tackle : custom data imports, visualization, monitoring, improvement plans. Next year, we plan to empower users with strong AI features, and to continue and deliver a robust and scalable data infrastructure in the hands of our clients.
In addition to the whole squad, you’ll be surrounded by the whole tech team, with our CTO, seniors developers and a head of product.
Make sure the team delivers quality backend code that respects Apiday’s technical preferences, at the appropriate pace.
Collaborate with product manager to understand and challenge product specifications.
Collaborate with product designer and backend devs to find great solutions to our users problems.
Master backend developments (Python - Django) as well as the links with our frontend (Next.js).
Participate in refactorings to improve the scalability of our backend.
You will be onboarded and reviewed by experienced developers.
We will make sure you get an in-depth understanding of our client issues to make sure you have all the context to find appropriate solutions.
We have regular tech team meetings where we discuss our issues and find solutions collectively.
Prerequisites :
4+ years of experience as a back-end developer in a tech company
Proficient with Python, some experience with Django is preferred

- Step 1 (30 min): Discuss your aspirations and profile with Corneille (Engineering manager) or Margaux (Head of People)
- Step 2 (1h): Review your professional experience with Corneille and other team member.
- Step 3 (45min): Technical interview with senior developer.
- Step 4 (30 min): Final call with other team member to validate the fit.
- Step 5: Conduct reference calls with individuals who have worked with you in the past.
