Position Overview
In this position, your main objective is to oversee the technical aspect of the Sales Cycle for our solution across a number of opportunities for current and new clients, working closely with the Sales team to provide your expertise. More specifically:
Analysing and synthesising the client’s needs; ability to establish a “business advisory” and “value-added” relationship with the client.
Preparation of technical demonstrators and technical presentations to support sales process
To do so, we need a technical person with business acumen that is also able to produce visual friendly & dynamic video content based on user scenarios he/she will define through customer interactions.
This role serves as a trailblazing position within our organisation, and it holds the potential to transform into a part time managerial role over the next few years as our tech sales team expands.
The Technical Sales Engineer will report to the Head of Sales
Responsibilities
Cross-Functional
Support the sales engagement, notably by being the technical counterpart for the customer’s experts and by performing live demonstration of Dessia’s platform
Collaborate with Sales and Operation leaders to write project proposals
Support sales team & partners enablement
Support product launches
Perform training for the customer
Understand the gaps between customer expectations and current product features to amend the product development roadmap in collaboration with the R&D team
Content management & development
Formalise user scenarios through customer interviews and ongoing project analysis
Produce demos, video demos, images and presentation showcasing the usage of Dessia’s solution for real life engineering problem solving scenarios
Create customer success stories & Technical Articles
Organise webinars
Requirements and skills
Masters degree in engineering / science with ability to understand our technical stack
Python programming experience
A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role, or in an engineering role from automotive or aerospace industrial global company.
Proof of previous work revolving around user scenarios, product demonstration and customer interactions and satisfaction
Strong consultative ability and interpersonal skills
Professional speaking and writing ability in French and English, German is a plus
Capability to create appealing graphic content
Capability to edit videos is a plus, editing part will be subcontracted if the candidate doesn’t have this skill
The role involves travelling a few days per month to client premises and supporting the operational marketing activities (ie: exhibition and presentation at trade-shows).
