The FPAD Competence Centre (FCC) is responsible for the development and maintenance of fraud detection models for EBA CLEARING FPAD functionality. This requires data analysis and modelling as well as a good understanding of fraud developments and the needs of our users, supporting them in understanding FPAD functioning and results and help investigate specific cases.
As a member of the FCC team your responsibilities will include:
monitoring model and data quality in production
finding new emerging fraud characteristics by exploring the vast transaction data underlying our FPAD solution
building new features that help detect fraudulent transactions
developing state-of-the-art AI models against billions of historical transaction
creating documentation and charts to explain your work to our users
sharing insights with experts from financial institutions across Europe
staying up to date with latest trends in fraud detection and drive the development of our solution
The basics:
University degree in computer science, mathematics or a related field
At least three years of experience working in a quantitative role, in a fraud or risk environment at a bank or payment service provider
Good knowledge of data science and data engineering, preferably with python
Especially experience with
Experience to optimise models on response time
Working in a highly regulated environment
Domain knowledge in payment data
Full proficiency in English, any additional European languages would be an asset
Permission to work in the European Union
