The position

Job description

We are a fast-growing startup looking to build a robust data team from the ground up. As a founding member, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our data infrastructure and strategy. You will have the opportunity to become the lead of data as our team expands, leading efforts across various departments and ensuring that our data-driven initiatives align with business goals.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Strategy: Lead the development of our data infrastructure by transforming business needs into actionable technical plans and executing them effectively. Build and structure a small team aligned with internal needs to achieve business goals.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with revenue ops, sales, customer success teams, with future involvement in product teams.

  • Data Security and Privacy: Ensure compliance with data protection laws and develop systems to mask PII while maintaining data analysis capabilities.

  • Balancing Needs: Navigate between long-term strategic projects and short-term tactical tasks, ensuring that immediate needs are met without compromising future goals

Preferred experience

  • At least 4 years in a similar position experience.

  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly.

  • Strong communication skills to interface effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.

  • Bonus: previous experience in hiring and managing people, or a keen interest in growing in this direction.

  • Knowledge of engineering, product, or project management is appreciated.
