The position

Job description

Our SRE team is responsible for the infrastructure reliability, performance and costs, of the developer experience regarding interfaces, and of the security of our environment (shared with our Security Engineers).

Reporting the SRE Lead, you will join a team of 4. Your missions will be:

  • Designing, developing and automating our SaaS infrastructure.

  • Ensuring high availability, reliability and security on production systems (including upgrade, release and incident management, troubleshooting).

  • Completing the migration of the existing infrastructure to Kubernetes (50% of the 8 applications already migrated).

  • Taking part of the infrastructure cost control (COGS)

  • Implementing a continuous delivery.

  • Enhancing our tools for observability.

  • Defining and providing the simplest interfaces to Software Engineers, to help them being as autonomous as possible.

  • Advocate engineering teams about DevOps best practices.

On a daily basis, 60% of your time will include build projects, 40% run and support (KTLO). The position include on-call duty (one week every month for each SRE team member).

Preferred experience

  • Embracing a DevOps philosophy with a strong security appetite!

  • 6 to 10 years of previous experience in a similar position

  • Deep knowledge of AWS

  • Having significant experience using Kubernetes in production

  • Having experience working in distributed and parallel systems, with web application development and Unix/Linux environments

  • Having experience with a CI/CD system

  • Having worked on Grafana at least as a user (better if admin)

It’s nice if you…

  • Don’t embed API keys in your code ;-)

  • Have used Hashicorp Vault and Ansible

  • Have worked in a structured environment (60 developers at GitGuardian)

  • Understand startup dynamics and challenges
