Job description

As Gladia is growing and our product is becoming increasingly mature, we are looking for a Software Tool Engineer. Over the last few months, we’ve been working on our Real-time transcription API. A product that will reshape the transcription space: a fully multilingual real-time transcription and analytics engine that delivers batch-level quality with <300 ms latency, in over 100 languages.

We are seeking a Software Tool Engineer who is driven by the challenge of developing tools that boost productivity and streamline development workflows. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain custom software tools to help our technical teams work more efficiently. You will collaborate closely with production, customer success, and sales teams to identify process gaps and build solutions that address them.

Role:

Tool Development and Maintenance: Create software tools to assist with coding, debugging, testing, and deployment.

Automation: Develop scripts and systems to automate repetitive tasks and enhance productivity.

Integration: Ensure seamless integration of tools with existing software systems and third-party platforms.

Support and Training: Provide documentation and training to enable team members to use the tools effectively.

Continuous Improvement: Update and enhance tools regularly to keep them effective and compatible with new software environments.

Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, product managers, and other teams to identify needs and design customized solutions.

Daily tasks and projects:

• Integrate and configure code quality and observability tools (e.g., GitGuardian, Sentry, SonarCloud, Debricked).

• Develop automation bots for support channels (e.g., Slack, Intercom, Discord).

• Connect internal and external APIs/webhooks for workflow automation.

Manage CRM (Salesforce/HubSpot) integrations with billing systems (e.g., Hyperline) and other platforms (e.g., Stripe, Airtable).

• Build various tools to improve the experience of developers and sales teams.

Preferred experience

3-5 years of experience in software engineering, focusing on development tools or automation ideally in a B2B SaAS. You’ve worked with Salesforce (CRM), HubSpot (inbound marketing) and database (Metabase or equivalent).

• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or Go.

• Familiarity with build tools, version control (e.g., Git), and CI/CD platforms (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).

• Strong analytical skills and innovative thinking for process improvements.

• Ability to convey complex technical information clearly.

• Knowledge of UI/UX design for tool interfaces and familiarity with DevOps practices.

• Comfortable working remotely with occasional travel to meet the team.

• Enjoys problem-solving and working collaboratively.

Recruitment process

  • 45 minute discovery interview with Sami, Lead of Engineering

  • 1-hour technical interview with Jean-Louis, CEO

  • 30-minute Culture interview with Juliette, HR Lead
