Job description

Attached to the Algorithm & Modelling Team Leader, you will be responsible for numerical and analytical modeling, as well as the design of algorithms for our telecom products.

As a member of the team composed of 12 people, you will have the following missions:

  • Develop analytical or semi-analytical models of electromagnetic field reflection by our RIS (Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface) depending on their configuration,

  • Develop algorithms to determine the metasurface configurations that shape one or multiple beams with RIS receiving illumination at arbitrary angles,

  • Set up and carry out experimental tests to validate the previous models and algorithms and assess the performance of the RIS,

  • Experimentally characterize the performance of Greenerwave antennas,

  • Participate in setting up tests to understand in detail the behavior of our antennas and propose solutions to mitigate potential undesirable characteristics,

  • Contribute to the development of numerical models based on statistical learning and data (data-driven, machine learning, deep learning) to, among other things, control our antennas,

  • Acquire a dataset to allow training of these control models,

  • Present your ideas and results during the team’s weekly meetings and brainstorming sessions.

Preferred experience

Experiences

Graduated from an engineering school (Master’s degree, or equivalent) or with a PhD, you specialize in wave physics and/or telecommunications. You have initial industry experience in the telecommunications field, particularly in the development of algorithms for areas such as beamforming and MIMO. Ideally, you have some experience with RIS.

Professional skills

  • Proficiency in linear algebra,

  • Strong knowledge of numerical methods (particularly in Python), ideally in the field of wave propagation such as Fourier decomposition or Green’s formalism,

  • Knowledge of wave physics in disordered media (radiofrequency, optics, acoustics) and/or numerical optimization tools (e.g., PyTorch for gradient descent) would be appreciated,

  • Familiarity with Git,

  • Knowledge of radiofrequency measurement devices and simulation software using finite element or finite difference methods (e.g., CST) would also be a plus,

  • Professional level of English required (oral and written).

Personal skills

  • Good communication skills, ability to work with cross-functional and international teams,

  • Research skills, curiosity,

  • Organizational skills, structured mindset,

  • Analytical skills and problem-solving abilities,

  • Autonomy, ability to take on responsibilities,

  • Multidisciplinary perspective,

  • You are passionate and strive for Excellence.

We encourage applications from individuals of all backgrounds, regardless of their ethnicity, gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, or religion. We value diversity and believe that each person brings a unique perspective that enriches our team.
