Job description

Meet our team 

You will be part of the fifteen-member Application Delivery team that supports Windows OS 10/11  operating systems and their applications on 8,000 servers for 60 countries where Heidelberg Materials operates. Our primary goal revolves around delivery and maintenance of 1st class services including MS Azure Virtual Desktop and Azure RemoteApp. Our team covers everything in the application area, from day-to-day operations to the technical engineering side of things. 

What will you do 

As a Digital Hub Brno providing IT Support for Heidelberg Materials with cement plants around the world, we need to keep our on-site applications functional and supported. Your role as a System Engineer is to excel as cross-technology expert with technological overview, the ability to analyse business requirements, assess their technical feasibility with a focus on Azure Virtual Desktop and Azure Virtual Apps. You are responsible for designing, creating and ensuring the functionality of Application Delivery product, while closely cooperating with Product Owners.


Preferred experience

You are an ideal candidate if you are experienced in:  

  • Cloud based virtual desktop infrastructure like AVD and Azure Virtual Apps 

  • Provisioning and administrating AVD 

  • Scripting languages (namely PowerShell, DSC or Bicep) 

  • Implementation and engineering of FSLogix 

  • Configurating middleware  

What is beneficial: 

  • Azure certification (AZ-104 or AZ-140)
