Here in France, you’ll help evolve and grow our business. You will lead and manage the provision of independent and objective audit services over International Wealth and Premier Banking (IWPB) Asset Management and Insurance in Europe including Bermuda. What you will do:

  • You play an integral role in annual and ongoing audit planning
  • You will deliver audits in line with the audit plan.
  • You will lead and supervise audits and provide oversight of the end-to-end audit process.
  • You will attend relevant governance forums, as required, and engage with and maintain open communication with senior management, providing constructive challenge as and when required.
  • You will provide leadership to your team and create conditions for high performance
  • You will advocate for your function within the organisation.
  • You will drive Group Internal Audit’s (GIA) purpose, ambition and strategy, which includes furthering GIA’s digital strategy to improve efficiency and effectiveness of assurance activities.

In this role you will:
  • Understand and stay abreast of changes in business and regulatory environments, assessing impacts on risk control, to provide a timely assessment to senior management.
  • Continually re-assess business operational risks, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures, management restructures, and new technology impacts.
  • Lead and direct a team of highly experienced & qualified professional auditors working from a variety of global locations
  • Motivate, encourage and challenge them to provide very high quality and value-added results.
  • Continuously enhance both audit skills/capabilities and subject matter knowledge related to their areas of audit coverage to contribute efficiently in audits and governance committees.
  • Devise, develop and champion relevant audit techniques and approaches, including digital audit tools, to drive operational effectiveness and improve overall management of audit assignments.
  • Coordinate and collaborate within and across teams to deliver audit work consistently, efficiently and effectively?
  • Communicate identified issues with stakeholders in a timely and proactive way.
  • Identify root causes of issues to assess the possible strategic implications.
  • Effectively manage performance, succession and talent development planning, reward and recognition practices, coaching and mentoring.
  • Foster a culture of open communication, encouraging speak-up, curiosity, diversity of thought.


Conditions

You should apply if you have:
  • Banking Expertise: depth experience within the Banking sector, with ideally expertise in Asset Management and Insurance
  • Audit Expertise: extensive expertise in audit methodologies, risk assessment and control frameworks with a strong understanding of industry regulations.

  • Financial acumen: understand risk, balance sheets, capital, delivering value and demonstrating experience of driving cost-efficiency without sacrificing quality
  • Integrity: an inherent commitment to upholding transparency, accountability and ethical standards in decision making
  • Influencing skills: ability to bring diverse stakeholders together to drive collaboration and execute at scale and pace
  • Driving skills: demonstrate ability to cut through decision making, using authority and presence
  • Languages: ability to work 100% in English with efficiency, any other European languages is a plus (in particular: French or German)
