Job description

Full time - Permanent role - USA or Canada

As our Lead Protocol Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Validators product and Kiln's participation in several blockchain ecosystems. Especially on Solana. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Owning the Kiln Validators protocols roadmap, determining which protocols we will support, why, and how, in partnership with the infrastructure and go-to-market teams

  • Understanding the key staking mechanics of each protocol we support or are considering, and unifying the team and customers around a shared understanding of these mechanics

  • Participating in governance on protocols where Kiln is active

  • Representing Kiln at ecosystem events

You will collaborate closely with customers, sales teams, product, and the infrastructure team at Kiln to execute the Kiln Validators roadmap.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional experience in the blockchain industry. Passion for the field and keen awareness of recent developments. You're an avid follower of crypto Twitter.

    • Knows and cares about the Solana ecosystem

  • Technical background (computer science, engineering, natural sciences) or demonstrated ability to grasp technical concepts. You're curious and motivated to delve into project details. You have experience running a validator or deploying a smart contract.

  • Analytical mindset and clear communication. You excel at synthesizing complex information and conveying your insights both verbally and in writing.

  • Strong product acumen with the ability to empathize with both retail and B2B users in the staking space

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup/scaleup environment

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members

  • Native or perfectly fluent in English
