Founded in 2014, Ledger is the global platform for digital assets and Web3. Over 20% of the world’s crypto assets are secured through our Ledger Nanos. At Ledger, our Engineering team builds hardware, operating systems, embedded apps, mobile apps, websites, and services—all with security and quality at their core. As part of this team, the QA function ensures customer satisfaction by embedding high-quality standards across all our products.


As the Director of Quality Assurance, you will report to the VP of Engineering and lead the QA team to drive excellence. Your role will include defining QA strategies, supporting engineering managers, and ensuring that quality is built into every step of the software development lifecycle. Your ability to influence, collaborate, and lead across teams will be critical in achieving this mission.

Your mission

  • Strategic Leadership
  • Own and refine the QA strategy, ensuring practices deliver measurable results
  • Identify gaps in quality processes and create actionable improvement plans in partnership with engineering managers

  • Collaborative Quality Partner
  • Act as a quality partner to engineering managers, supporting them in delivering high-quality products
  • Collaborate with engineering leaders to define strategic initiatives for embedding quality during development and operations

  • Team Leadership and Development
  • Lead and grow a high-performing QA team of 11 people, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation
  • Define roles, responsibilities, and impactful testing methodologies for the team
  • Develop and implement a QA education program to up-skill QA engineers and the broader engineering team

  • Quality Accountability
  • Set up and maintain dashboards to measure various quality aspects of our software products
  • Monitor, analyze, and address quality issues using data-driven approaches
  • Hold Tech and Product teams accountable by implementing appropriate quality metrics
  • A strong engineering background in Computer Sciences
  • 15+ years of experience in software engineering environments, with a focus on quality assurance
  • Experience working in complex technical ecosystems, including web, mobile, desktop, backend services, operating systems, and custom devices
  • A track record of ensuring end-to-end quality testing for software compatible with custom devices
  • Experience coaching agile engineering teams in large organizations (200+ software engineers) to deliver high-quality results
  • Proven leadership experience, having built and implemented comprehensive QA strategies while managing and mentoring teams
  • Hands-on experience as a software engineer and comfort with reading or using TypeScript, Java, or Python
  • Fluency in both French and English to collaborate effectively with international teams
