We are seeking a passionate Product Designer to lead the design process, create intuitive user interfaces, and manage the task backlog to ensure timely and successful project delivery. You will work with a team of four.

We’re looking for someone with solid UI/UX experience who is comfortable handling project management tasks alongside engineers. As a product designer in a smaller startup, you will wear multiple hats, including conducting user research, designing UI/UX, and managing projects with the tech team. In other words, this role demands a unique combination of creative design skills, user-centric thinking, and project management expertise.

Your main objective will be to elevate our solution by enhancing the existing product’s UI and introducing valuable new features aligned with our long-term mission. This mission focuses on creating innovative UI/UX designs for global retailers facing optimization challenges, which involve integrating numerous data inputs, such as locations where brands showcase their collections worldwide.

You will also be responsible for updating our Design System with our new visual identity and ensuring its consistency across web platforms (mobile & desktop). Additionally, you will contribute to improving our existing components to make our product visually and ergonomically outstanding.

Are you a meticulous individual with a keen eye for detail who can contribute to our fast-paced, bold, and energetic team?

Your mission:

Product Design:

  • Conduct proactive research with our existing and future users to understand their needs and devise innovative solutions

  • Anticipate our future needs by delving deeper into user conversations. Always plan the next step before concluding to maintain a recurring relationship with our valuable community. (You’ll have a central role here.)

  • Stay informed and decipher the mechanisms behind leading market applications to understand the behavior sought by platform creators.

  • Organize one breakfast event per month for the product, 100% orchestrated by you. Brand, buyer, agents

  • Collaborate with the founder and the tech team to understand project goals and user needs.

  • Conceptualize and design user interfaces that align with project objectives.

  • Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups.

  • Write clear and comprehensive user stories that define product features and functionality.

Project Management:

  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.

  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals.

  • Develop and maintain a detailed project schedule, identifying critical milestones.

  • Facilitate effective communication between design, development, and other teams.

  • Conduct regular sprint planning, review, and retrospective meetings.

  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.

  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality products within budget constraints.

Preferred experience

We are open to all profiles, but here is how we envision you:

After an initial experience within a Product Team or in an agency/consulting firm in UI/UX you are now seeking a more empowering environment where you want to take ownership and work in an ambitious team.

Must-Haves:

  • You have minimum 2 years of professional experience in UI/UX designing and Product Management methods and tools (from discovery to delivery).

  • You can communicate effectively in English and French, orally and by writing.

  • You know how to actively listen, challenge, convey, and explain your ideas.

  • You enjoy proposing, designing, and implementing the right solutions to real user problems.

  • You thrive on the challenge of working in sometimes complex environments.
