What you will do:

• Design and build scalable public APIs for Monk and ACV customers that offer:

- Ability to create car inspections,

- Run cosmetic tasks among a predefined set,

- Ensure image quality and compliance to a defined rules,

- Price damages,

- Generate reports under several formats

• Implement best practices for security, reliability, and scalability to ensure that the backend infrastructure can support high-demand production environments and protect client data.

• Work closely with ML Engineers to deploy, monitor, and optimize machine learning models in production environments. Ensure smooth integration of ML solutions with backend services to deliver high-quality, data-driven applications to clients.

• Define ML ops best practices to deliver Monk AI solutions at scale.

• Build and maintain systems that facilitate the continuous deployment of applications and ML models to production. Ensure that deployment pipelines are efficient, scalable, and maintainable.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify bottlenecks in the backend systems and work on improvements, focusing on performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency in serving client-facing applications and ML-driven services.

• Integrate and arbitrate between multiple stakeholders and constraints including: ai performance, quality of life for ml scientists, cost-efficiency of labeling and infrastructure etc…

What you will need:

• Extensive backend engineering and software engineering experience, building backend applications that scales.

• Being very comfortable with SQL databases and how to use them effectively.

• Proved abilities as tech leader and autonomous working

• Engineering skills related to cloud applications, for scalability, reliability, robustness and observability.

• A mindset for business-oriented decision-making: being focused on measuring features usage and acting on it.

• An understanding of Deep Learning Models deployment and the data-oriented applications is welcome.

Background

• 5 years (or above) experience in back-end development

• Master Degree (or above) in Computer Science/Maths/Physics/similar

• Ambitious and results driven personality

• Work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent communication and organizational skills
