We are looking for a senior profile - familiar with e-commerce - who will focus on the players in the Italian market. His/her role will be to understand the prospects and align their business objectives with the solutions offered by Payplug. He/she will demonstrate the direct leverage of our solutions on their revenue and build strong relationships with the various sponsors and decision makers of the targeted organisations.

The successful candidate will proactively seek prospective merchants and partners, identifying new business opportunities to selling and support deployment of Payplug SMB’s solutions. The Senior Sales will be responsible for boarding new clients and partners with a core focus on generating processing volume, revenue and margin.

We are looking for a Senior Sales with an in-depth understanding and proven track record/experience within either payment sector and/or within the fintech industry. This role could be based in Paris, Milan or in full remote.

YOUR MISSIONS:

  • Establish an extensive pipeline of sales opportunities, manage the development of the pipeline, grow your sector knowledge to identify new markets and merchant needs ;
  • and accurately forecast your identified projects to senior management ;
  • Foster the development of new contacts for Payplug through networking, trade show participation and specialised communication (in collaboration with marketing) ;
  • Evangelising the Payplug solution through an expert speech ;
  • Negotiate and conclude new contracts ;
  • Hand over to operational staff while actively monitoring the first months of activity of new customers ;
  • Serve as a voice to the market and gather feedback to drive continuous improvement in all areas, including products.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in a sales or customer relations role, with key accounts and preferably within the payment industry ;
  • Expertise and understanding in Payments, is mandatory ;
  • Demonstrated B2B new business development/sales/account management experience ;
  • A real affinity with new technologies (especially Fintech) ;
  • Proactive and self-motivated, goal orientated with strong time management and organizational skills ;
  • Demonstrated autonomy in managing your prospecting portfolio ;
  • Strong work ethic, ability to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment ;
  • Native in Italian and fluent in French. English could be a plus.
