You will join the "Home & Distribution" division of Schneider Electric. This division designs ranges of low-voltage electrical products, from circuit breakers to switches and power outlets: products that you use every day, targeting residential and tertiary building markets.Schneider Electric is a global leader in this market, with over 5 billion euros in turnover and 1,300 employees in the division. You are joining the Engineering teams of the European Hub, specifically the Electronic Design teams.Reporting to Dirk (based in our R&D center in Wielh, Germany), you will join a team of around twenty electronic engineers based in France, Germany, and the Czech Republic. These products, which were once exclusively electromechanical, now incorporate more and more electronics, leading to exciting challenges (such as space constraints). Additionally, these products are critical for the safety of people and goods, leading to high requirements in terms of electronic design.Your missions :

• Develop new concepts for electronic devices for electrical installation in the area of protection and control (e.g., for residual current circuit breakers, overvoltage protections, arc fault detection devices…)
• Participate in the creation of product specifications
• Develop analogue and digital circuits, including the associated driver firmware
• Create test specifications as well as the participation/implementation of development-accompanying tests
• Validate engineering samples and products as well as support the test laboratory with certification and the documentation of the development.
• Collaborate closely with PCB manufacturer and end assembly plants within Europe.

Your profile :

• Graduated (Master's degree) in electrical engineering (additional background within Firmware appreciated)
• You have between 5 to 8 years of experience in a similar position in Electronics product design, focusing on electronic components, products or systems.

Your skills :

• Development of analog and digital components in an industrial market
• Experience in designing electronics for a high-volume manufactured product would be highly valued
• Knowledge of simulation tools (PSpice, Cadence) and particularly of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and electrical safety aspects
• Very good command of English (written and spoken) enabling you to work in a fully international environment
• Proficiency in French would be highly appreciated.
