Within the Schneider Electric Industry Business unit, the IC&D department focuses on the development of industrial products. We are global leaders in operator interfaces through our push buttons, relays, signaling lamps, etc. We are also specialists in electric motor control, contributing to energy savings and sustainable development through our variable speed drives. Our products stand out for being innovative, high quality, reliable, and user-friendly. Their connectivity facilitates the deployment of advanced services for our customers.Your role:Reporting to the VP Programs and Technologies IC&D (Didier Gufflet), you will be responsible for standards related to the Control & Signaling activities. You will be based at one of the main IC&D sites in Angoulême, although other sites within the BU Industrial Automation may be considered.Your main missions:

  • Lead, participate in, and monitor the vision and strategy for standards to align them with the business strategy.
  • Anticipate standards and environmental trends resulting from geopolitical, technological, and competitive changes.
  • Monitor key applicable directives and regulations in Europe and other regions. Lead and/or participate in key standardization groups.
  • Utilize resources and skills within the business for part-time involvement in standards and risk assessment.
  • Use resources across different geographical locations to ensure two-way communication on standards and regulations.
  • Contribute to the development of standards and regulations by analyzing documents, studying technical and commercial risks, formulating proposals, negotiating compromises, and drafting official responses.
  • Ensure alignment with IC&D activities (and beyond) to maintain a strong link between our business objective and standards.
  • Co-chair the Influence, Standardization, and Certification committee. Encourage significant organizations to mobilize to protect and promote the interests of IC&D, the industry, and Schneider Electric.
  • Manage the standardization process
You are:A holder of a technical degree (Bac+5) with at least 5 years of experience in control, signaling, relays, HMI, and a successful experience in marketing or sales.And you have:
  • Skills in creating, managing, or launching offers and in managing customer projects.
  • A good understanding of the control and signaling sector and its applications.
  • Comfort with multi-business and international experiences.
  • A clear understanding of product composition and operation.
  • Abilities to influence, persuade, negotiate, and lead.
  • Strong abilities to maintain the right level of confidentiality in a collaborative spirit during multiple exchanges with competitors.
  • Proficiency in English and French for communication with our teams and clients.
  • A willingness to travel within Europe, France, and occasionally internationally.
