❓ About SiPearl…

Founded in 2019 with the support of the European Union 🇪🇺, SiPearl embodies Europe's dream of mastering the technological heart of its supercomputers: the microprocessor.

SiPearl is building Rhea, the high-performance, low-power European microprocessor dedicated to supercomputing and AI inference.

This new generation of microprocessors will first target EuroHPC Joint Undertaking ecosystem, which is deploying world-class supercomputing infrastructures in Europe for solving major challenges in medical research, artificial intelligence, security, energy management and climate with a reduced carbon footprint.

SiPearl is working in close collaboration with its 30 partners from the European Processor Initiative (EPI) consortium - leading names from the scientific community, supercomputing centers and industry - which are its stakeholders, future clients and end-users.

SiPearl employs more than 190 people in:

  • France (Maisons-Laffitte, Grenoble, Massy, Sophia Antipolis),
  • Germany (Duisburg)
  • Spain (Barcelona)
  • and Italy (Bologna)

SiPearl is part of French Tech Next 120 programme 2024 class.



💻 About the role

 

As part of collaborative research team, the Collaborative Project Manager has the mission to manage a variety of Funded Research projects aligned with SiPearl’s product roadmap . He/she will represent SiPearl in front of public authorities, experts, key partners and will ensure SiPearl executes the workplan and delivers expected project outcomes.

 

🎯 What regular missions at the job might look like

  • Transform awarded proposals for collaborative projects into effective project organisation
  • Build the project plan with the Principal Investigator including the R&D resource allocation, the expenses plan and overall project organization
  • Prepare both internal and external project kick-off meetings
  • Monitor the execution of collaborative projects against commitments taken in terms of responsibilities, technical deliverables, schedule and budget
  • Cooperate with the internal product team to best serve the objectives of the SiPearl roadmap and to better mutualize resources and activities
  • Ensure strict respect the compliance framework imposed by the grant contracts
  • Report to the steering bodies of the progress and risks of projects
  • Coordinate the writing of the periodic reports and deliverables to ensure the right quality (as well as any other additional interim reviews)
  • Monitor the project expenses in order to guarantee an optimized use of the grants
  • Elaborate the financial statements due at each period with the support of the Finance Department
  • Manage, whenever required, requests for amendments/changes to the projects in terms of scope, schedule, budget allocation
  • Participate to the project events such as the technical meetings, steering committees, project management board, face-to-face event
  • Maintain project status for management and monitor performance indicators for projects
  • Apply methods to improve quality and productivity and more generally, promote tools, methods and best practices within projects to increase quality and productivity
  • Represent SiPearl in the consortium and develop collaboration with key partners in the science, industrial, technical, political, academia domains to develop future collaboration
  • Support the Pre-Award team to prepare proposals
  • Building a network of institutions/clients and diverse stakeholders (science, industrial, technical, political, academia) to develop future collaboration


🔍 What would make you succeed in this role

  • Master degree in electronics or in computer science
  • 5+ years of project management in international or multi-cultural context, including experience in facing public institutions, clients and diverse stakeholders from science, industrial, technical, political, academia domains
  • You have a proven experience of working within a compliance framework with a strict respect of deadlines
  • You can prioritize and multitask between projects
  • You are eager to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, foster cross functional collaboration and act with influence
  • You can delegate while controlling quality
  • You can analyze and solve problem
  • You can work independently as well as in team
  • You have excellent reporting skills both verbal and written
  • You have excellent communication skills and are proficient in English, both written and spoken
  • You have experience of project management software tools and methodologies
  • You can adapt to changing environment and have appetite for challenges


  Candidates with a background in semiconductor, hardware and software development or experience in European collaborative projects, subcontractor management are preferred
