Responsibilities
The Department of Finance (DFIN) includes the full accounting teams, regulatory reporting, PnL and performance reporting, Treasury and ALM, controls and projects. The specific role is within the DFIN Chief Operating Officer (COO) which supports the many activities across Société Générale (America) Department of Finance (DFIN) and Accounting. The COO team includes participation in strategic planning and program management, budgeting and costs reporting, regulatory reporting, project management, and monitoring of related risks and controls.
Tasks and responsibilities:
• Preparing presentations for budgets, headcount, and other business analysis for COO team
• Design and development and/or maintain business performance reporting/tools
• Production of daily regulatory controls
• Participation in COO business process enhancements and firm-wide initiatives
• Support COO across other pillars of DFIN as needs arise
• Other responsibilities may include helping to automate manual reports, assisting managers with internal Audit and external regulatory reviews, helping with DFIN projects, supporting regulatory needs related to Regulation W and Resolution Planning

Profile required

Studies & experience:
• Graduate with a Master's degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in a quantitative field (e.g., finance, economics, math, engineering, statistics, accounting)
• A previous experience Project Management or Transformation Initiatives would be appreciated
Language skills:
• Fluent in English (B2-C1) and strong overall communication skills when exposed to team/department managers
Technical, operational & Soft skills:
• Proficient/Good command of MS Office
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Financial markets knowledge. Prior experience working in financial institution or consulting firm a plus
• Strong skills on Excel (VBA is a plus) and PowerPoint
• Experience with Power BI (DAX language) and Python would be a plus
• Ability to adapt to various assignments. Intellectually curious, solutions-driven
• Comfortable working collaboratively and independently is critical
• Experience in ESG topics is a plus, but not required
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in USA is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 18 months.
In case a visa is necessary, please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to not delay your departure.
