Responsibilities
Join as a VIE Société Générale Global Banking and Investor Solutions (GBIS) in New York.
You will integrate the Financial Engineering team within the "Credit and Structured Financing" platform which brings together cross assets structuring capabilities with the objective of providing investors and clients with one integrated multi-asset financing solutions team. The "Credit and Structured Financing" platform is a joint venture between GLBA and MARK in the Americas. This JV combines our capabilities in the credit space, specifically by aligning the relevant business lines (ABP, DCM and SYN Bond, FCS, Vanilla Credit) in an integrated platform.
The "Credit and Structured Financing" department capitalizes on an integrated engineering team to deliver cross asset structuring expertise (on a wide range of asset classes and strategies, from liquid to illiquid).
You will more specifically join the Financial Engineering team in charge of structuring secured Fund of Fund financing for Fund of Hedge Funds, Pension Funds, Assets Managers, Insurance Companies etc.
As a VIE, your main responsibilities will include:
• Help senior structurer to create and launch Structured financing products
• Perform risk analyses on portfolios of Hedge Funds (haircut calculation) and other type of assets (equity, bonds, insurance contracts, mutual funds etc.)
• Help the team to get internal approvals for the transactions
• Ensure transactions' proper execution and post-trade monitoring
• Follow-up specific projects and update the internal systems
• Improve internal processes, tools and macros on an on-going basis
• Monitor financial markets and the Funds of Hedge Funds business

Profile required
PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply for a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:
• Graduate with a Master's degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Finance
• A previous experience in Banking and/or Asset Management would be appreciated
Language skills:
• Fluent in English (B2-C1)
Technical, operational & Soft skills:
• Proficient/Good command of MS Office
• Good communication and presentation skills
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in USA is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 18 months.
In case a visa is necessary, please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to not delay your departure.
