Responsibilities
We are looking for a V.I.E. to join the Information Technology Department (GBTO). The department has a worldwide responsibility for supplying Global Banking and Investor Solutions (GBIS) Divisions with the IT resources necessary for them to operate under competitive conditions in terms of technological standards, service quality and cost. GBTO is composed of diverse and talented professionals who translate ideas into action every day by combining the strength of its expertise in IT with a deep understanding of the investment banking business and regulations. It has a threefold responsibility as follows:
- Deliver innovative IT Solutions that enable GBIS to achieve its business objectives
- Maintain a highly resilient, flexible, cost effective and well controlled production service for our business applications, systems and infrastructure
- Facilitate entry into new markets, compliance with regulatory needs, growth in business volumes and add operational efficiency improvements in our overall front to back processing environment
GBTO achieves this while promoting a collaborative, innovative, and fun environment for its IT professionals.
The V.I.E. will work for the GBTO TTP MRK which is an IT Team working for the Front Office. It is a proximity development team that works hand in hand with equity derivative trading desks and operational teams, to develop new tools that suit their needs, and bring reactivity to face any production issues on existing tools. Our mission is to transform legacy systems to server base applications, with strong, sustainable and easy-to-maintain architecture. Throughout the mission the V.I.E. will :
- Be exposing and consuming API's such as RESTFul APIs (C# and/or Java)
- Support & gain service oriented application architecture knowledge
- Apply knowledge on Databases (MSSQL, POSTGRESQL)
- Be using of standard tools for source version control systems (Git), unit testing, continuous integration

- Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Computer Science
- A previous experience as a software developer would be appreciated
Language skills:
- Fluent in English and in French (B2-C1)
Technical, operational & Soft skills:
- Knowledge of object oriented programming in C# and/or Java, SQL (NoSql is a plus)
- Good command of VBA and/or Python would be appreciated
- Knowledge version control systems and continuous delivery tools would be an advantage
- Experience in web programming, preferably Angular/React/REST APIs would be a plus
- Exposure to unit testing and agile development would be a plus
- Experience in version control systems and continuous delivery tools would be appreciated
- Knowledge of financial products is a plus

The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in
New York is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last
