SGSS SPA, with headquarters in Milan and Turin, is a leading player in the Italian securities services market, known for the quality and competitiveness of its post-trade solutions. With a team of almost 600 professionals, SGSS Italy provides services to institutional investors, asset managers, and financial intermediaries. Within the course of its development, SGSS SPA is looking for a V.I.E. Junior Data Analyst to join our TCM Team (Transformation and Change Management) in Milan whose mission to deploy strategic initiatives to transform the Bank.

The V.I.E. Junior Data Analyst:
• collaborates with business units to drive data analysis and enhancement projects, providing insights and recommendations to improve business performance
• collects, processes, analyzes, and reports on data related to the business, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• designs and deploys management tools, including dashboards and reports, to support business decision-making
• develops predictive models and applies statistical analysis techniques to uncover insights and trends
• conducts quality checks on databases, identifies and corrects errors, and ensures data integrity
• contributes to database quality improvement projects, working closely with technical teams to define requirements and explain results
• provides support management in interpretating the results of statistical analyses, providing clear and actionable recommendations to stakeholders

Profile required

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply for a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:
• Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Business administration/Engineering, or a related field with a specialization in Data Science
• A previous experience in Data engineering including data collection, development of data pipelines, analysis and interfacing with datasets would be appreciated

Language skills:
• Fluent in English (B2-C1)
• Italian would be a plus

Technical, operational & Soft skills:
• Knowledge in Python, VBA, and Power Query features
• Experience in Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) development and integration
• Expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI) modeling and implementation, including experience with Mistral or similar tools
• Background in Code generation using Metalama or similar tools
• Proficient/Good command of MS Office
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong attention to detail and rigorous work ethic
• Analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities
• Inquisitive and eager to learn
• Collaborative and proactive

The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Milan is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France's eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information, please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.
