The position

Job description

Responsibilities

You will be integrated into the International Clients team of the Commercial Department of Societe Generale Private Banking in Luxembourg. The team is in charge of all relationships with non-French customers of the Private Bank and consists of Client Relationship Managers, Account Managers, a KYC Advisor and a Credit Advisor. As a V.I.E. Private Banking Account Manager, you will work closely with Relationship Managers to manage daily client operations and contribute to the strategic development of the desk.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Operational and Client Support:
• Preparing and verifying account opening documentation for international clients
• Maintaining and updating client records in the CRM system, ensuring data accuracy and compliance
• Processing daily client transactions such as transfers, foreign exchange operations, and securities orders
• Managing credit-related activities, including technical setup, renewals, and irregularities
• Handling account balances, verifying fees, and preparing pricing exception requests
• Ensuring rapid resolution of administrative irregularities and monitoring their status with relevant teams

2. Activity Monitoring and Strategic Analysis:
• Automating and optimizing processes using tools like VBA and Excel macros
• Supporting regulatory and commercial initiatives by monitoring project progress and risks
• Assisting in the development and implementation of improved workflows and processes

3. Participation in Cross-Functional Projects and Strategic Initiatives:
• Collaborating with Relationship Managers and the Desk Management on regulatory and operational projects
• Organizing and preparing meetings, including creating presentations and drafting minutes
• Driving innovation by proposing and contributing to initiatives that enhance the client experience and optimize internal processes

Profile required

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:

  • Graduate with a Master's degree from a top-tier Business/Engineering School or University, ideally with a specialization in Economics, Finance or Wealth Management
  • A previous experience (internship or apprenticeship) in private banking / wealth management is a plus

Language skills:
  • Fluent in both French and English required (written and spoken)
  • Additional languages would be an asset

Technical, operational & soft skills:
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (particularly Excel and VBA) and a talent for data management and process optimization
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset


The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in Luxemburg is to begin as soon as possible, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12months.

In case a visa is necessary, please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to not delay your departure.
