Responsibilities

We are looking for a V.I.E. to join the Product Development / Business Solutions team. The department is tasked with supporting the Securities Prime Brokerage Business Heads in all aspects of platform development and enhancement. On a daily basis, the future V.I.E. will work closely with partners to ensure the risk control framework is not compromised and that processing and servicing issues are escalated promptly. He/She will coordinate with counterparts in EMEA to ensure consistency across all initiatives and present a uniform front to all external constituents (vendors, service providers, ECNs, EBs, customers, regulators, CCPs, etc.). The position also requires ownership on production tasks, monitoring of critical processes and escalations.

The V.I.E. Product Specialist mission will consist in:

  • develop product expertise
  • stay abreast of market / CCP regulatory changes
  • watch our competition
  • capable to pitch the product to the client
  • industry body representation
  • understand client need for platform development, new products
  • contribute to internal projects & drive Transformation
  • enhance our products
  • enhance our monitoring of the activity and PNL explanation
  • act as a Point of escalation for GBTO in case of Production incidents
  • partner with BMO to lead Projects/initiatives to help support, protect and grow the business
  • lead and Coordinate NPCs
  • lead initiatives to reduce costs and Operational Risks
  • manage our Vendor relationships and costs, liaise with Legal, Risq, Compliance, GBSU and Tax on all Product specific matters

Profile required

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:
• Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Finance/Engineering
• A previous experience in finance, preferably in Prime Brokerage and/or Fixed Income, Securities Financing related functions would be appreciated

Language skills:
• Fluent in English (B2-C1)

Technical, operational & Soft skills:
• Proficient/Good command of MS Office, with a focus on Excel, Powepoint and Visio
• Good command of Tableau and/or PowerBI
• Good communication, analytical, organizational and presentation skills
• Front to back understanding of Fixed Income & FX clearing and Securities Financing business
• Ability to drive automation and transformation
• Capacity to distribute tools and reports to better analyze platform and business Clearing, Margin and Risk processes
• Leadership skills to drive the team to reach challenging goals
• Strong Team spirit: proactively sharing information with other teams locally and globally
• Highly motivated, proactive and entrepreneurial

The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in New York is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 18 months. The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France's eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space.
