Responsibilities
The Quantitative Market Making team is responsible of developping and maintaining models for systematic market making on American (US, Canada and Brasil) listed linear products, managing SG Americas' Principal Trading capacity, minimize its risk and improve overall client service.
Responsibilities :
- Performing market and quantitative research analysis
- Numerical analysis of existing models and testing of performance enhancements
- Quantitative analysis of the current markets, trends and trading strategies using large data sets of financial data
Due to the VIE eligibility criteria, a questionnaire will be provided. Please make sure to answer all the questions for an efficient analysis of your application. Studies & experience:
- Graduate with a Master degree in Statistics, Quantitative Finance, Financial Engineering, or Physics/Applied Maths/Computer Science, or a related field
- Interest in market microstructures and quantitative trading in global markets
Language skills:
- English fluency, both written and verbal
Operational, technical & soft skills:
- Good communication skills, with an ability to work independently. Ability to balance multiple tasks in a stressful environment
- Proficient use of programming languages. Knowledge of Python or R and most common data analysis libraries. Experience in analyzing large data sets with data-science tools is a plus
- Market knowledge is a plus
The VIE assignment in a nutshellThis VIE in
New York is to begin
July 1st, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last
18 months.
In case a visa is necessary, please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to not delay your departure.
